I’m trying to decide between two types of rocker protectors, also known as rock rails, rock sliders or “nerf” bars.
1. Shrockworks (
Tracker Sidekick Rock Sliders, Suzuki & Geo, Rock Rails, Suzuki Rock Sliders / Rock Rails, ShrockWorks) sells a “Rock Slider” that is attached to the frame but not the rocker panel. If you click on images #6 and #7, you will see close-ups of its no-drill mounting system.
2. Rocky Road (
Rock sliders for Tracker and Sidekick) sells “Rockrails” and “Super-Sliders” that are bolted to both the frame and the rocker panel (
http://www.rocky-road.com/media/4drrockrail4.JPG). Four holes are drilled into the frame and another four holes are drilled into the pinch seams of the rocker panel.
Which is better?
Has anyone had any experience with these rocker protectors?
