sidekick question?

i've been shopping for a sidekick motor. I keep getting responds with tracker parts. Are these two engines interchangable?

Yup, the Geo/GMC Tracker, the Pontiac/Asuna Sunrunner, and the Suzuki Sidekick are all the same car. You do need to know which engine, though. There's at least a 1.6L, 8v, SOHC with (I believe) either a carburator or a throttle body fuel injection, and a 1.8L, 16v, DOHC with multi-point fuel injection. There may be other combinations as well, though (is there a 1.6L, 16v?)

I know my blown motor is the 16 valve sidekick, and i have a guy offering me a 16 valve tracker motor. what else do i need to make sure is the same? I'm trying to save the head on my blown motor, so i'm just buying the block from this guy.

that, I'm not sure. If you can post the model years for both, then someone with more knowledge than I might have enough info to look up the answer for you.
