Default G16A Carburated Vacuum Hose Routing

Hey guys,

Rekon the reason my vitara isnt running well is because half the vacuum hoses arnt connected... I ordered a manual from ebay as JTGH reccomended, but its very ambiguous as to how these are connected. THere are two pipes coming off the carb which have no tubes on them... im sure they are all meant to be connected?

If anyone has some pictures or a diagram showing the schematics that would be grand!

Thanks!

Possibly you misunderstood, do you have a diagram, applied by the manufacturer, to the underside of the automobile hood (bonnet)?

what year?, what country? of delivery, what model.?
then we can give that.
in some euopean countries carbs ruled till 1999. EEEEEKKKKSSS

G16a tells little. sorry.

those CD's are dodgy.
it is just a copy of this. why pay for useless nfo ,its free here

.:Suzuki Download Archive:.

oops , the old hayes manual is gone , so still ebay has them on CD,
but it is an old version and very poor.

the underbelly of ebay , lives on.

i recommend the store bought manuals from Hanyes, Chiltons ,etc.
for general data, like how to change oil, or new pads on calibers.
beyond that I recommend , EBAY search, "Geo Tracker Service manual"
The tracker has many manuals in the field , not suz.
How ever they are USA versions.
I cant speak for ebay.euro (uk ,etc)

but do tell the full data on the car and you will rec. a vac diag.for your country, they vary.

cheers.

Default lets Hone IN. just a bit more....

all we know now is 1.6L SOHC 8v. ( the plot thickens)
what tranny?, what door count, what top? tin or canvas?
2wd, 4wd, then we can narrow the sort.

that manual,(although good for all but engine )is wrong. but.. has value...
no,that manual is TBI only.
yes, money exchange is trashed now. very bad. (no end in site, Treasure printing more $$ now...)

just use my web page for now, but I don't have carbi , doc.

usa 91 will be 100% throttle body injection, TBI.
have manual, here at my side.

how ever i have 91 epc, but not sure what region cars Aussie, uses.
i have never learned that.

is your car 3 or 5 doors.

see attachments.
i includedh carb photos,8v , carbi
i have photos of carb blown up, it its internal conns.
and the attached.
THERE ARE 6 hose diagrams in the EPC +carb ++. need better id of car.

your car has a build sticker plate some where? , the last line tells what you have.
this ID plate has 5 lines
1 type of veh.
2 vin ,tells body, TA01c-snnnnnnn (T=none UK , non EU)
3 engine type B16 bla bla
4:Color of veh.
5:9 digit model code <<<<< this you need to know when taking to suz people

here is an example line 5: and decode.

"FAB653K94
this says, canvas top ,2seats 8v-3spautomatic,jx-grade,type1 eng config. and
last 2 digits is the precious market code.
94 = market code E94,

with those 9digits any suz dealer knows exactly what you got.

I am no expert on out of USA kicks but I think (talked to lots of EU and AZ )
people here and Ppac. islanders and carrib. that the number plate is located
on the fire wall , on right side (left looking) in the engine bay.

it is metal and riveted to the panel.?
dust if off and photo it, so I can design web shot of it and then below that
I can put the decode page for it.
then every one can learn (WW) how to find the illusive Market code,
even me..... LOL.

legend legend legend.

ok so its a 3 door canvas top, manual trans, 4wd.

let me run down and just get that plate thing hold up.

*runs*

ahh crap lol as im swapping the chassis over, ive drilled the rivets and plates off... ready to rivet back on the new one... but i can only find the blue plate not the silver one! eeek

anyway what i got on the blue plate is TYPE: TA01C

lol i know this probably doesnt help....

thanks heaps for the diagram... though i cant quite relate it to my engine... maybe cos i didnt give you enough info...

now i must go try and find that plate! lol the engine is hanging from a bed hoist in the carport, that also needs to be put in the new chassis. sSO MUCH TO DO!

cheers mate
