SUCCESS!

omg thats the one! thankyou so much

makes life so much easier, im gonna have so much more confidence when turning the key engines in btw, god it was a tedious task lol massive long drive train on these beasts.

so 2moro will be the joyous task of connecting her all up to the loom, buying a new gearbox mount (other one is shot) and seeing weather i need to change the head gasket. ive been told that these engines are notorious for cracking on the block? is this a common issue? i hope thats not my problem, im thinking it will just be these hoses :-D

Any idea where the breather tube from the top of the front diff goes? ive forgotten and have to connect it up 2moro,

Thanks again for your help man your a lifesaver, lol theres no1 down here in aus that knows what they're talking about

ps. i'll check for that number 2moro. found both plates aswell so i'll take a picture

It may be late, but can be usefull:
It's a Russian site (but all the names are in English).
Уточнение параметров модели
Just type the "VIN' at the end of the link and you'll got the info.
In my case we got the next:
Уточнение параметров модели

here is the market page

http://detali.ru/cat/SZ/SWSE416201PI07.GIF

his web site is just the EPC, with no index (ouch) and no partnumber.
just buy the EPC on Ebay. far better.

EPC =electronic Parts catalog. 2 cds.

thank you for the link.

Default reporting back.

Alright! sorry i havent had a chance to take a pic with a half decent camera of that plate mate, i promise its on its way 2moro ive got my weekly day off so i'll work out how to upload the pic then

So ive taken the diagram down next to it.... having a bit of trouble getting my head around it.... but i think i'll be able to work it out... any chance you have the corresponding table with the numbers so i know which hose is which? I'll also take some pics of my hoses so you can try make some sense if i fail abysmally :-).

Another question, as ive got the gear sticks out, can i just cheat and fill up the tranny through the top b4 i put the sticks back in and centre console etc?

Thanks mate!

the shifter i on an extension and has no drain to the main case.
but remove top extension housing and yes you can, I DID IT,for the same thinking you had.

I hate pumping lube.
i take an old hose and a large funnel and marry em' the strap it all down , pour some lube
and go drink beer, or watch SeaHawks,
then pour some more.....

haha beer was drunk, tranny was filled cheers

so i got the engine all connected up and running again! she took a bit to get started and smoked like a muffin at first (hadnt been started for over a year) but now everything back to how it was! including the searching at idle.....

Ive checked for air leaks to no avail... everything seems to b A ok..... also tried bypassing the fuel filter altogether to eliminate that... and it changed nothing...

Whats happening is i adjust what i think is the idle adjust screw (big long one....) once shes hot, down to 850rpm.... the engine is shaking excessivly at this rpm, and it searches ever so slightly (maybe 50-150rpm) to the point where the whole car vibrates.

Ive connected the vaccuum hoses all according to the diagram you sent me (thanks heaps, they were all over the shop!) so i know they are all correct

ive also adjust the timing as that was quite out, so now its bang on 8degress off TDC

the idle up works flawlessly, turn on lights, power steering and it ups it by 4-500rpm. not a problem there.

any ideas? its got me stumped....

thanks bud
