Default Battery light coming on

Well the Tracker is not done with me yet.

Now that I have everything running perfectly and passed emissions, a new problem has arisen.
My battery light comes on if the idle is below 2000 rpm, above that it goes out.
It dims from bright at low rpm's to off at higher rpm's.
I recently power washed the engine and I'm thinking it could be the connectors going to the alternator and I'll check those today after work. I suppose it could be I got water in the alternator but I tried not to.
I'll take the car to Autozone and have the battery and alternator tested before I replace anything but the rpm thing leaves me to believe it is a connector or voltage regulator perhaps.
Any other ideas?

that's the charge lamp.
1; fan belt slipping
2:battery terms rusted or the other end and big solenoid or that ground to starter bolt loose.
3: bad battery
4;bad alternator.

id clean the batt, terms first with that fancy brush tool thingy.
the put that nice anticorrosion red treatment on it.

connection,. then test battery or try doner battery.

I blame Suzuki gremlins.

Light went off and didn't come back on.
I'll do the cleaning anyway and hope it never comes back.
Thanks Jerry!

water in the ragulator, or soaked brushes of the alternator slip rings.

happy trails.
