Default Obsolete Accessory Catalogs

I'm getting another Tracker ready to send to the islands and wtd a set of OEM locking lug nuts. Keith at Southwest said they're discontinued but if I can find an old Accessory Catalog w/ a part # I could go back to the LA dlr w/ the locator-someone might have one. I then recalled coming across many references in shop manuals to front skid plate removal as part of service procedures which makes me think Suzuki sold an OEM skid plate as an accessory at one time. Having torn up a front diff on my '95 xing a river, I'd like to get an OEM one too. The only one I've found is the Calmini one, which looks home made, plus you have to buy their truss kit. SO: anyone have a copy of this catalog w/ part #'s for these 2 parts? Most likely other cool stuff in a catalog like that as well.

On the lug locks, I'm an OEM guy. Thanx anyway. I came across an alleged OEM skid in an on-line catalog of the General's. $254.00 plus ship takes it away. No picture though. Gotta do some more research but if it's boxed OEM for my application, I'll buy it.

Just wondering, do people steal the tires off of cars in Haiti?

I've not seen the OEM skid plate but I've heard that its not very strong, more of a fashion accessory. I fitted the Calmini plate but made up a bracket for the front using some 2" angle iron. It is a lot of money for what it is though, you could most likely get a local engineering company to make one cheaper.

probably like california.
if it aint tied down, it gets stolen.

seen earth graders stolen there, (if it fits in a semi trailer, it's gone)

up here we park boats on a corner , blind roads and all. for sale.
in calif. do that , and its gone, every time. or stripped clean.
the further south the worse.

long ago my friend had his Harley stolen in National City.CA.
it was tied (heavy chain and huge lock) to a 12inch tree out side.
next morning tree was on the ground.
never to be seen again.

I dont miss it. CA.

Bear: No one leaves any roadworthy passenger car out on the street overnight anywhere in the island. The roads are the worst I've ever seen w/ possible exception of Rwanda. The most bullet-proof vehicle for these conditions and as a consequence most popular is the Tracker, which makes it a target. Crews come over from Santo Domingo looking for them. My 95 has two anti theft switches killing voltage to the ECU and the fool pump, one next to my seat in the event I exit at the request of a car-jacker. Every effort has to be made to present as hard a target as possible, and wheel locks and spare tire cables or chains are common. All that aside, I still love Haiti.
