ok its a 1990 1.6 tbi, standard.
you have a new fuel pump your are saying?
can you make it cut out at will , or is it random.?
check ign. timing, 5 deg BTDC and if way off do not set it, your Tbelt as slipped.
or crank pulley is loose
if it is Ignition cut , only then it could be a bad cas or those capacitors in the ECU needs swapping. they dry out and can make ecu do a brain fart.
it starts crashing , the processor then it gets so bad spark is hard to produce.
it tries real hard.
