Default Introduction

Just thought I would post a thread introducing myself. On Tuesday I bought a blue 1994 tracker 4x4 automatic... I really wanted a 5 speed but for the price I couldn't turn the auto down. It has apparently been in an accident (front end sheet metal pretty crunchy) but drives down the road pretty well, tracks straight, 68,xxx original miles, brand new tires and a fiberglass hard top. I figured it was worth what I paid just for the top, tires and low miles engine.
This is my first 4x4... I'm pretty young, a second year teacher, so though I'm willing to try about anything as far as wrenching I don't have all that much experience. And most of my experience has been on vintage motorcycles, not 90s asian vehicles. Ok, enough autobiography!
I'm looking for a clean tracker body to swap my running gear into, if anybody has a nice body in the Iowa/Wisconsin/southern MN area. I plan on driving it all winter with this body and swapping when school gets out in the spring. Maybe I'll swap the bodies back next winter to avoid rusting the clean one, lol...
I look forward to being on this forum!

I can't answer any of your technical questions, but welcome you to the site. This forum is extraordinary, and there are a bunch of really knowledgeable guys who can help you out of just about any problem you encounter...as they have with me. So, welcome, and enjoy your Tracker. Mine is a 1991, 170,000 miles, and I'd do just about anything to keep it on the road. They're great fun, and pretty dependable, too.
