Default copper gasket

Gday, anyone ever used, or know of someone who used, a copper head gasket on a g16b?

I'm considering using one to lower the comp ratio a tad and have a gasket 'less prone' to popping.

Any help/ feedback/ knowledge greatly appreciated.

I actually have the chance to do either, however atm i'm looking into if the one I can buy has any lips/edges etc in place of the sealing rings on a normal gasket or if they're just flat.

I think it's flat and you use a specific sealant with it??? Old mate from the engineering joint said each surface (head/ block) has to be flat as, which I kinda already knew but I think he means DEAD FLAT. If thats the case this could prove to be a costly exercise.

The surfaces have to be dead flat to get the seal. The other issue is having the correct cylinder head bolts/correct torque values. The bolts should be tightened such that they are working in their elastic region to absorb the shocks created by the combustion process. They are actually tightened so they stretch slightly and then once they are heat cycled they are brought back into the elastic region.
