Ready to put replacement tranny, what do I put on it? Gear oil/motor?

Huh? are you asking what fluid the tranny takes like an 85W gear oil, if your not asking that then specify please

Yeah... gear oil? I believe there's two parts to it? Both put in gear oil?

uh id put oil in it not on it
you can find manual for tranny here

just 4 days old.

have full spec , pdf on 94,
have full glove box. 95 op guide.
have full tranny manual and tranny rebuild manual all in pdf.

gear box and xfr use gear oil , but axles use hypoid gear oil and stinks like heck.
no ATF, no Engine oils.
but you never said which of the 3 trannies you have? so I guess at 5sp.

GL4, 1.5pts, 75w-85 or 75w-90 as approp.
axles use GL5 same weight. Hypoid gear oil in them.

cut, paste.

the are different lubes are are not downward compat.
like Dexton is. (ATF)
