Default Another Sidekick with turn signals acting up

I have some high wierdness going on with my turn signal/running lights/headlights. I have a 97 (+/-) Sidekick 2WD and my left turn signal is giving me fits. When I run the left turn signal all of my running lights blick, including the dashboard and side marker lights. If this weren't enough, when I trun on the headlights the left turn signal comes on and stays on, (Doesn't blink), also when I have the hazard lights on and turn the headlights on all amber lights (directional) come on and stay on. I've elimanated a problem with the the relay since the right TS work as do the hazards. I've split the problem either to be a cross voltage after the relay, ( I removed the relay and turned the headlights on and the left side came on anyway) or a ground problem between the light switch and the running lights/headlights/turn signal, somewhere in the harness before the firewall since the rear lights are affected as well. Any thoughts from you electrical specialists out there? The other probelm I have is the steering wheel nut that I have, it's kind of a Torx looking number but with the facets on the outside, how do I remove that so that I can check my combo switch and ground wires/harness in the columns?

I was mistaken on the steering wheel nut, what I'm having a problem removing is the airbag module, is there a special tool needed and where can I get on, Auto Zone seems to be unable to comprehend the need.
