Default Key won't start it...

I know this is vague but...
I swapped engines on a 94 tracker...
Manual tranny.

Everything went great...but when I turn the key it won't kick the starter in.
It is not sensing that the clutch is pushed in. I've double checked and all the wiring harnesses etc. are plugged in....all the idiot lights come on, etc.
No biggy, just going to throw a push button start switch, that will be cool anyway, but just thought I'd throw this out for ideas.

Are you sure it is the clutch switch?
You can wire it to bypass to make sure. My 90 Tracker has that already.
Found out the hard way letting my 12 year old daughter put the key in to turn on the radio. lol she turned it too far and made the care and my HEART jump a few feet! I looked at the clutch switch and it was bypassed.

2 wires , and one momentary push button switch.

wire left to ignition out of key switch (hot at key on)
then wire other to the left or right wire on the clutch switch.
one way will give , need clutch to start,
other way , will give , no clutch need to start ,that way you have neck snapping starts
just like RODEO ! love em.

or use a toggle switch (bingo instant low buck, red neck hybrid)

to improve hybrid ,remove spark plugs, and then weld clutch to floor.
next major is remove head.

or keep head and put in a check valve and now you can fill up inner tubes for river tubing and fill every ones tires.

we love hybrids out here in the ozarks.

ahahahahahaheheheheheh LOL

I did just what JTGH did...

2 wires , and one momentary push button switch.

wire left to ignition out of key switch (hot at key on)
then wire other to the left or right wire on the clutch switch.
one way will give , need clutch to start,
other way , will give , no clutch need to start ,that way you have neck snapping starts

.....I did the Neck snap method......
