I am looking for a bit of advice I have just got a Suzuki Vitara JLX SE 16V P reg
What I would like to know is due to me having a larger than most Spare tyre round my middle can the drivers seat be Unbolted from the floor and moved back about 6" ?

Someone said I would have to put it on a different sub frame does anyone have a photo of this or a diagram of how to do it
You can not simply re-mount the seat because it bolts both horizontally and vertical and on different levels.The seats require additional strength at the mounting points in order to be safe and the seat belt might not function correctly. I've never heard or seen anyone use a different sub frame and this would be difficult as the sub frame is welded to the seat frame.
