maybe one end is friction fit ,

hotwire, vane, and maybe some other type? a 3rd type?

variable cone technology, ouch!
thanks for sharing.

but it might be easier to test.
key one, look at voltage output and stroke the cone.
1 to 4v range is my guess.
or do the full obd2 scan print out, at idle, 2k 3k rpm on MAF, see how it reads.
