Never mind, I went to the web site and read about it and where to purchase it.

You can buy it in any hardware store. There are different degrees of potency. My wife uses acetone to remove nail polish. It also is used to remove chewing gum. It melts it, go figure. Many auto additives like GUMOUT have acetone as a cleaner to remove contaminants in the fuel system. For a short term cleaner many shops use it when a customer has a limited budget. As a long term solution, an octane booster will increase mileage and increase horsepower. All additives have the potential of fooling the computer and advancing the timing.
This is no different than over clocking your personal computer. Short term it will do the job, long term, it usually shortens the life of the components.
I have to trust jtgh on this one from my own experience.

It's all in the tune up * It's not easy being green.
Drives like a grandpa due to oil prices...
acetone is a paint thinner and is vary toxic and flammable.
ever see the life span of a painter? (short)
the nail polish remover is acetone and has sheep oil , lanoline(sheep wool fat)or the like.
mixing it with gas , is asking for trouble.
anytime you mix two chems, you have to potential for a bad reaction.
Gasoline has additives in it, that just might hate your acetone.
now consider each supplier of fuel has a different package, oops.
Like I said, go price the stuff its expensive and will be getting even more so.
gas is 1 a liter, acetone is $5 to $10 ,
if you can make a profit out of that , then you are really cutting a fat hog,
ahahahahaha
go ahead and try it.
we will all watch . grin

My server has Engine Repair proc/data. Check it out.
it does absolutely nothimng. This has been making the rounds for 20 years.. it did not work then and it surely does nothing now. If you don't believe me. Do you believe myth busters.? They did a segment on it and proved it did nothing. Without a doubt

Increasing the octane will make no difference unless the engine is tuned to get the best out of the fuel. Only the newest Zuks have knock sensors and ECUs that run adaptive ignition timing. On all the others theres just a fixed map. High octane fuel is just a waste of money.

I was wondering what is the first year to use knock sensors? Mine is an OBDII model (96) and I would think that it has one but I don't know.
Thanks,
