Default Rear wheel bearing replacement

Do I really need to grind off the bearing retainer on my JLX 4 door? To get old bearing out? Thanks again.

Update... smiled, but now frowning. Our two mechanics don't think they need a press to install new bearing. "We'll need a hammer..." hmmm, maybe I should just send the rear axle to a auto shop somewhere down south for a proper procedure/work.

sorry for your , ordeal, that ring, must not be distorted, as it rides a seal.

any machine shop , knows exactly what to do, just give them all new parts around that bearing.
you want it done right or it will be a come back.

part 10 fits inside part 11 .

you want it done right or it will be a D0_OVER..

parts 8-12 must be perfect.

Ask around , you might have a machine shop where you'd never think.
most auto parts stores have a long list of shops, in your area.
ask them, you will be surprised, not to mention a good reference.
