Default Best way to replace oil pan gasket?

Well, I'm finally going to replace it...

Is it easier to pull the engine, or disassemble the ft suspention?

Tks

You can remove the front diff without having to remove all suspension etc. Just disengage the cv shaft that slides into the diff, which on the aussie ones is the right hand one, might be different depending where you are, you need to remove the wheel and then upper strut mount to do that.

Unbolt the other cv, the diff mount bolts and front prop shaft and it should come out no worries. Hope this helps.

many cars, not sure this auto manual?

many a time ( did this last on jeep 4.0L) I loosen unbold motor mounts and jack engine up.
on the jeep they said it was impossible to do, but I am a curious type.
it jacked it up highest , so nothing hit or streached too much ,then
I dropped the pan, but the oil pump would not let it come off,
i then reached up and dropped the oil pump blind (had a nice print out of it on lap)
off it came, reversed this to go back.

not saying this will work but you would be surprised at how much you can cheat.

might even float the radiator , let it come up with engine. but cardboard between fan and RAD too. jack and look, and be creative. it will all come to you as you see it.
Id pull the dizzy ,first. marking all TDCs in 3 places on dizzy and base and mount and cap. #1 tdc that is.

but , that axle looks easy to drop too.

there are other posts that discuss this in detail on this forum. I saw them.
