58B code =4 injectors.
you need 56B er's. which is TBI single injector.
is yours bad, did you swap in new caps, its easy as pie.
and fixes many,
if have dead output let me know , will tell how to fix and where to get the part.
outputs, like injectors, actuators of any kind.
usually inputs never fail, but sometimes, rare they do.

good luck.
Well, to make a long story short, the Dome light fuse blew after I accidentally created a short from the engine block (Yea, I know, always remove the negative from the battery when doing work...lol) and I started the motor and it wouldn't hold 800 RPM Idle (Limphome mode?)....replaced the fuse and the engine stays running but idles @ 2K RPM until the themostat opens and then the idle floats between 1k-2k RPM...TPS is new and ploperly adjusted 6 months ago. Checked the ECT and it seems ok, replaced the vacuum lines (it was time anyway) and cleaned the EGR Valve body....
Still no joy...so I was looking at repair and or replacing the ECM...the Caps and transistor has not been replaced yet....so I was going to buy a spare...retro-fix it and then replace the original.
EDIT: Forgot to add that the ECM gives me only a code 12....

yes the dome fuse , kills ECU memory. ( and might make it do other unknown things)
get it hot , then remove the rubber plug on front of TB ( 10 am from center of fuel pressure regulator. ) under said plug is you hot idle adjust.
set it to 800 rpm.
then if lucky , cold start willl be 1200 . max.
if not let me know.
Well, the hot Idle Adjust had no effect on the surging idle. I have have done the following to diagnose the problem:
1. Replaced all Vacuum lines-no chance of leaks at this point
2. Replaced the Brake Booster Hoses--they WERE cracked, but replacement had no effect.
3. Checked ECT Sensor----Resistance was within specification.
4. Cleaned EGR Valve Body and replaced gasket.
5 Checked IAC Valve....Coil has no resistance--OK---top hose "sucks" on crank and run.
6. When I remove the MAP sensor hose, the idle drops to 1K RPM constant, and ECM enters Limp Home mode--running rich (dark exhaust gasses)
7. Cleaned and checked Grounds (Including the Thermostat Housing and Dizzy to firewall)...all have 0 Ohms resistance relative to Battery and Block.
8. ECM DOES NOTE throw codes....constant code 12 when I check it.
9. There is a golf-tee plugged hose connected to a tube located on the lower throttle body between the IAC and EGR valves....This truck previously has AC, but since removed by previous owner....think is is part of the Idle control valve for the AC...but it should have no effect, since Idle was OK previously.
10. Have NOT visually inspected the ECM YET...this is the next planned step.
This is maybe looking more and more lime an ECM problem (I think)...the local junkyard just got a 92 Track 8V in yesterday....I think I'll go computer shopping.
