97 tracker Erratic speedomter
hi all
i had to replaced the CEL bulb on my instrument cluster the other day as it had burned out from being on straight for about a year (was due to a bad O2 sensor even thought a new one had been installed). I tried to take the easy way by loosening the slack in the speedometer cable instead of disconnecting it from the transfer case (had no way to lift tracker).Getting back to my question. The speedomter indicator starts off way below zero now and takes a few seconds to start registering the speed, but i know its not reading the speed correctly. Does anyone have a suggestion, new speedo cable? Or is it something else. Everything else works on cluster incuding mileage and odometer.
