Smile 92 Geo Tracker Question?

#1.Well just put 2" exhaust from the header back on my 92
Geo tracker with no convertor back on her...lol just a muffler...
Noticed after that it was idle'n like it was cam'd up.. and a bit of black smoke when you rev it up... Anyone ever run it to this?

#2.Also, the clutch grabs good, the owner before said he just replaced the clutch but the pedal is toward the top.. If it was just replaced it should be closer to the bottom..?

#3.Just put 31's on her and drove her around the lawn, and up and down the
ditch and stopped when it was twisted, I noticed front tire was right up against the fender, which I figured it would, has anyone tried to cut and roll the metal in the fenders to keep them from rubbing with sucess?
Going to put a 2" lift but not before next weekends mud trip....

if your cars ECU detects the CAT is missing ( EGRMOD VALVE) on 94-95 USA FED or CAL cars it will get into FAILSAFE mode. Some old Can ECU 89-91 are ok with EGR fails.
not all.
on canada units, I am not sure. for 92 Is you check engine lamp on?
also This throws the Volumetric Effeciency off , the ecu will then miscalculate the AFR.
In the old days , one did this one had to rejet, today its remap.
you could fool it a tad by putting in a resistor in place of IAT sensor.
that says the air was hot (thin) it would cut fuel in response. 200 ohms would do that.

clutch: as the clutch wheres, the free play gap loosen, and you compenate with the
lever adjustment. if you adjusted it correctly it would be good.
keep free play at pedal at about 1/2 inch.

is this a 16valve or 8.

Default hey

It's a 8 valve, engine light is not on, just checked the plugs and this is what was in it... Champion RC12YC I checked what a 1992 Geo Tracker 8 valve took for a plug and this number did not come up so I would say the plugs that were in it weren't for it... I replaced them with an NGK G-groove plug...The tracker seems to be idealing better... Anyone know about the Champion RC12YC plug???

O and I tried my 31's today they are rubbing bad so I'll have to use my stocker's for this weekend comming....

Also,

Any thoughts on a lift, different kits, or should i JUST CHEAP OUT and buy some tube steel and make a 2" Body lift... Any suggestions..
I don't want to spend alot of money but on the other hand want to do the right thing.. I would spend up to $ 700.00 with the right kit any suggestions...
This is not my only vehicle, but would like to keep it road worthy so I can drive to and from the trail....

to and from trail, good usage statement.

the champion web site will tell you what each digit means, you can cross from OEM ngk to champion there and then figure out what they did. hot ,colder, etc.

is your CEL lamp on , with KEY ON, no start,?
and does it go OUT ,after starting and running ( you said its out)

if CEL does not come on at key on, either lamp is dead or ECU is dead and has flipped over to limphome mode chip and will run RICH as a pig and be retarded timing forever.

see TSB below post
for NGK BPR5ES spec.

Default Ngk

TSB for plugs, attached.

BPR5ES IS oem stock plug

RN11YC4 is champion cross. or 12 depending on engine. YOU 8v is 11 heat range .

but yours does cross to many other suzuki sidekicks , depends on engine.

8v is 11 heat
16v is 12 heat , so says Champion web site higher number is HOTTER.

these are generic OEM style plugs.
