Question Rear Defroster Option

I’m planning to order an aftermarket hardtop with a rear defroster (www.xtremetops.com) for my 1989 2-door soft-top Sidekick. I notice that new rear defroster switches are still available for 89-94 Sidekicks at www.suzukicarparts.com.

(1) Does my soft-top car contain a wiring harness for a hardtop rear defroster option?
(2) Where can I get a rear defroster wiring harness?
(3) Is there a manual that shows how such the defroster wiring harness is routed through the car?
(4) Is there a knockout inside the car that permits defroster wiring to exit and connect to the glass?

These guys have a full defroster kit, which includes a wiring harness and timer switch/relay. They don't list the wiring and switch separately on their web site, but I'm sure if you called them and explained your need for it, they could package one up and send it to you...

Frost Fighter Defroster Repair and Replacement Kits

I'll probably be asking them the same sometime between now and the fall, as I have a hard-top with a defroster. I also need to bond the tab back on, and the ludicrously priced permatex adhesive didn't take, so hopefully their 2-part stuff will...

Thanks very much, Rudar, for referring me to Frost Fighter. It happens that this Colorado firm is only an hour and a half from where I live.
