Default Timing G16A 16 Valve How far can you go

Just moving my timing around a wee bit and found that although factory sets at 5degrees BTDC @800 rpm I find that it feels better at 8 degrees..
How far can I go before I start moving into lap and lagg territory on the valves. Whats the max advance anyone runs on this engine. I dont get pinking or any detonation noises at 8 ... How far can I go ????

factory is best power.
wont effect valves at all , unless you slip the belt.
there is about 10 degrees buffer from ping to best power ( wedge head design)
this is a nice protection.
advance is not going to help and with out a dyno is almost impossible to tell.

keep in mind the ECU varies it all over the place dynamically, this setting just tells ECU where 5 degress , really is at.

more advance can cause power loss, as you can see more advance means the flame front is pushing on a rising pistion, not the best thing , if you can avoid it.
At High rpm , advance must happen do to long burn and short time to get it burnt.
FYI:
check of the new DOD contract to build Split cycle engine ,that is Never advanced past 0 degress, it has 2 pistons per cylinder ,if you will.
first cylinder compresses AF the passes it to second for firing and power stroke.
rumor is huge efficiency gain. we will see.
I'd kill to see it live!

Yeah understand the advance problem . I have decided to max out at 8 degrees and monitor fuel consumtion.. Its just a weee tweak.
The dreaded HHO comes on line in another two days .. I await with skeptical breath
Did some test the other day and found that my 5 amps only delivers 1/2 liter per min
which is as we have discussed probably not going to have much effect.
I have a current fuel econ figure at 12.06km/L (highway) and 11.2km/L (city)
I figure that would be pretty stock standard for these units

Thanks .. again

hHO will not work, it is snake oil.
just ask your high school physics teacher why? , his answer will be brief.

if you are not stealing free energy , it cant and will not work.
i hope to god you didnt spend $595.00 as those people did last night on the george nory show.
notice how he pretends to be so stupid, not taking calls from any one with a physics major. see the deal there, and they are getting paid to tell this sordid little story, make the wallets nice and fat, all preprogrammed and delivered.
that's holywood. George Carlin has a nice name for people like the , Good old American BS. remember?

the 3 laws of thermodynamics will not be repealed any time soon.
not only do these laws hold true in physics, but it holds the earth together and crosses the full rules of chemistry.

have fun but please, when it doest work ( learn why )
each mistake can and should be a learning experience.
did you know there are classes all over the country showing the folly of this.
it is a lesson for physics classes, real world example, doing the math and the experiments to prove the theory.

Did you see my post by the SAE, you know who they are don't you . Society of Automotive engineers.
they have a full report on browns gas, and this "MAGIC BS"
They went to all that trouble , just so poor people do not get snookered by snake oil thieves. Please.

It makes me sad seeing people get ripped off. be it this or by "your ECU is dead son" crooks.

before taking measurements , all variables must be controlled or the results are junk.
see ?
High school chem lab, was the first time I learned that.
it holds true here , too.

same car, same temperature, same warmup time, same gas , same constant speed, same acceleration curve, same exact amount of fuel measured from a graduated flask.
you've seen that on TV right, all that trouble,
now you know why. (rhetorical question)
to get accurate and consistent results. ( it must be repeatable or it is not science)

hope that helps you and others,
$600 for $20 of junk, go figure.

The whole problem here, is all the people are looking in the wrong place.
75% of aLL gas is lost as heat , totally and completely wasted.
find a way to put this waste heat to work and you too will be richer than your wildest dreams. Instead of making Mr. snake rich for nothing. Dang @!

sorry for rant , but way waste time on the useless, ?

I have a friend here that runs a Boing wind tunnel. We call him "mr, maxiumim"
he said too bad you don't put all the money in make the car have a better ballistic coefficient.
make it like a bullet.
he is right. that would be a dividend paying endevour.

I do have tow OTTO engine modes.
throttle restrictor plate, and a TPS , filter , both work by making the driver honest, cuts all jack rabbit starts, hard.
cuts full power and for the throttle jockies out there.
I guaranteed that both will work and that both are free.

Actually I can throw up a 100 ideas for economy and not one would land on brown's gas.
Lets give credit to the man how invented it and sold it , Mr. brown.
And you can't trademark his name either.

Dont forget the earth has 20% free oxygen ,so you wont lack or need more of that.
when you open the butterfly plate, it just falls in there , gee why need more.
your gasoline is mostly hydrogen and carbon , so adding 1 atom or 2 here to this very powerful fluid will never
do anything. It is like peeing in to the ocean, and saying, see its going to overflow. Or I'm killing all the fish.

scale is important too. see ?
count all the atoms for 1 hour, and do the math. zippo
