Wink Iat Sensor

What is an iat sensor and where is it located on a 1992 geo tracker 2wd
i think it is the blue connector next to the valve cover on the passanger side.
purchased one of those hp increase and fuel increase resistors.... probally wasted my money but worth a try.

thanks

hi handsome.
92's done have them but if yours does, its on the AIRCLEANER.

it is AIR temperature sensor , and measure the temperature of the air as it is inducted,.
it is just a resistor , a thermistor to be precise.
if you need the curves for it , hollar.

it only has the smallest of effect.

Default Iat Sensor

there are two connectors at the front of the engine on the passanger side. one is blue and the other is an orange/ red color i am assuming it is the blue one.
bottom line am i wasting my time installing this resistor or not in your opinion and can i screw anythig up by installing it ??

IMHO opinion.
IAT meddling.

1: it is little command authority. (in fact it has the least , off all)
2: the ECU will detect this error because the OXY sensor will find the true error (its #1 job) and correct the AFR to this amount.

so no. it will not not have a long term effect.
and no it wont hurt car, just the wallet, for snake oil taX.

avoid the tax.

what are you trying to do?

Bad-GAS-Mileage-Poor-MPG

Proof: ( millions in their pocket $ and not proof, why is that?)

I can tell you , this, if they have NO dyno readings, before, and after and then 1 week later after
the ECU fuel trim has had a chance to correct this ERROR. Then ignore them.

If no Dyno plots, then I raise the BS flag , high in the air.

Every one wants a quick fix.

good day.

here they all are:

Bad-GAS-Mileage-Poor-MPG

If you can find a magic pill, we can both get very rich. That's right both of us.
dont let me stop you from trying.
