Check engine code 51?

I have a 94 Suzuki sidekick 16v. What could cause a trouble code 51? I do have a crack in the haeder, would that couse it?

I think 51 is EGR code. Look @ jtgh signature for EGR cleaning & troubleshooting. Good luck

EGR

crack in header will cause 2 things (depends on size of crack)

oxygen will flood exhuast and make OXY gen sensor slam to LEAN, engine will then
go max rich ( bad MPG for sure)

if the leak is bad enough the EGRMOD valve will not open ( too little exhaust back pressure) and will kill the EGR function.
