top: 12741-53b01

yours 57b01 = 96 to 98 year.

Are both gears wrong? the cam gear is I received is 12741-53801. I hope the parts guy will make this right, I just looked over my invoice and it appears the mistake is on their end......

talked to the parts guy and he is shipping a replacment today for the crank gear, simple mistake but he very kindly is going to make it right.

I'm glad you are a patient person. Nothing positive comes from anger or anxiety. Hope you get it running soon.

Agree there was a time where I would have wasted a lot of energy and effort ranting and raving but as you said nothing good comes from it. I do miss my tracker but this is just a delay.......

I talked to keith this morning confirming part numbers and the cam gear number matches your post for a 95 tracker. He said the crank gear was just a mistake.
I am taking out my frustration on leaves........

He will take orders by email, online or phone. few do it as well, IMHO.

Default My tracker lives Again

The new cam gear arrived, reassembled enough of the engine to start it. I am happy to say it started right up. Waiting on calmini to deliver my new header and exhaust. I hope to finish up this weekend with the radiator belts and hoses. Thank very much for the assistance!

Default This saga is not quite over

I finished putting everything back together and I now have a rough idle both warm and hot. I cant find any vacuum leaks and I am sure all of the many hoses went back to their original sensors. I am considering going back and rechecking the valve lash I believe I was careful but I am out of ideas. The engine ran very smooth before the belt slipped off.

** I get a 12 code from the ecu

I can't get the idle low enough to set the static timing...

John

Did you ever get your idle issue resolved?
