diesel , i burn that in me stove.

is it cold out side?

yes, then glows plugs are not glowing.

try lighting it off with propane. ( they uses it for boost on the big trucks).
carry a bottle and next time dont get stuck. (boy scout... mode)

All i know is if it cranks good and you have injection, and its cold the glow plugs need to work. ( I know for a fact its not short of air, hahahaha)

Perhaps if you give better information, other than 'car won't start', you will get a more informative reply

actaually , i started with a joke, (stove)
and told you how to start it anywhere with a $3 Porpane torch.
pop filter cover, give it a 3 second snort and fire away. (any car really)
Propane is safe and can not splash on you like liquid fuels and is high octane to boot.

i think your car is a SE420 HDI. Santana motor co.
sold in Smog code regions E01 ( no one here has one but other countries )
it is listed as "semi rare" so you might not find too many people who seen it.
or know how to work on it.

now glow plugs, you need a service manual with a schematic for your car.
Hint: I would not own such a rare car without a full FSM .

your glow plugs are just below they injectors.
I did a Partlist scan of all switches and relays and no glow plug related devices ?
so it is either named funny or ECU controls Glowplugs full time. ( see below I guessed rigiht)

how each car uses and applies glow plugs is different.
to troubleshoot this car, a tech, will need a factory service manaul.

I found a web page that shows the Peugeot parts using google.

http://paulaxford.com/suzuki/misc_do...b/b1bbm2k3.htm

see Pre-Heat control.
note pre heat time is 1/2 second at 0deg.C. ( you never told me your air temps)

--------------------data----------------------
car is not fully suzukii it is what I call a World car .
engine is:quote:
The engine is an RHW (or DW10ATED4) Peugeot 2.0 L 4-cylinder 16-valve DOHC, turbocharged to 1.0 bar and intercooled. It's a 1350 bar (19,580 psi) common-rail injection system under Bosch EDC15 control with water-cooled and throttle-assisted EGR. It also has actively-controlled swirl-inducing butterflies in the intake ports.
unquote.

we get many queries here .
some want to fix their car.
some want doc.s
others what a quick fix and don't really want to dirty hands.
some want direction to where to take there car.
some want to know how to save money.
some want all the help they can get, ( no holds barred help)
all are welcome. Just tell us what you want?

PS: carry a propane bottle everywhere. keep that battery in top shape.

BTW: that is on high tech. engine. Direct Injection, read up on that ...... wow

sorry for flip jokes.

by non start i mean, car engine turns over, i have tested the glow plugs, ok and checked that there is a live to the fuel cut off solenoid in the fuel pump.
the engine glow plug light is constantly flashing as soon as the ignition is switched on, as for air temp 2degrees, battery fully charged, car ran without any problems until i refueled it the other night.

lack of fuel.?

my propane snort test will confirm the Fuel is lacking.

5 min. test, instant answer.

past history means little unless something was replaced or modified.

2 degress C . 36 degrees F for USA people reading
and his glow plug run time is super short . as designed. (hi tech glows)

if propane starts car and it runs fine, then supect glow plug circuits.
if car starts and runs for 1-3 seconds and then stops, then the Injection system is bad.

(that propane ,replaces the function of the Glow plugs and the start prime pulse)

my guess. is main injection failure but that is just a guess.

anyone with an alarm , any kind that does not have the manual on said alarm and know how to use it or defeat it , you will get stranded. ( imagine how easy it is to glitch an alarm doing a battery jump. easy as pie, find it ,learn it. and be ready)

I have one car alarm on one car (factory) and it has a special hidden reset , ( i found the manual on line the first day I owned car) So I can reset this alarm if need be.

it was hidden behind the alarm logo stick (had to cut the logo off)
each car will be different.
some can be defeated by unplugging them but not all.
some will kill the starter key wire others kill ignition or injection.
some have a cute bypass plug.

you do not want to get stranded in bad weather, or ?

food for thought.. hope this helps someone or even saves them!
