snake oil.
first how could he know 45HP if HE didnt see what you are driving yet.

this is called by some, a wild imagination but we really know what I am saying , right.

Here is a trick, want more power (less mpg of course , laws of thermodynamics as such)
unplug the OXYgen sensor.
car will run a tad rich and make more power
if driving 96 or newer , CEL lamp will come on ,

On some cars, my trick wont work, as the ECU might go to limphome mode.
rich and retarded, then all is for naught.

WHAT DO YOU want,

Power,
at what RPM , low , Mid , high , ALL?

how much are you willing to spend.

does your car have to pass smog?

are you willing to GIVE UP MPG?

those are the real and important questions to ask before acting.

more:
is your car leased
do you actually own your car.
do you want to sell car and as we all know hacking it , reduces value and customer base.

when I buy cars, if the harness is damaged in any why, I pass.
or any signs of tampering. (when spending the big bucks, on junk heaps like my tracker, I m the hacker here.Guilty as sin)

As Microshaft always says, "where do you want to go today".

for sure.

Where I used to work, they had this list for major purchases,
1: where are you now, what do you have.
2: what is you goal.
3 what are all the possible solutions to that goal.

there were 10 questions but here is my short list.

you didnt even tell us what you are driving.
btw.

if you try to fool modern EMS controlled engines, try reading that chapter here.
$19
All the facts in one little book, <<<, really good too.

save money from the sharks, get facts: read this.

Amazon.com: How to Tune and Modify Engine Management Systems (Motorbooks Workshop): Jeff Hartman: Books

keep note: each cars EMS acts differently by year and model.
so there will never be any guarantees ( for the truthful) on performance or effects of devices. ( unless you go whole hog, read the book)

if forget to say.
I believe there are no performance chips (for this box)
defined, I pull my PROM and I put in new PROM , chaining my mapping for some reason.

many hawkers on Fleebay say its a Perforance chip , ONLY? because there is at least
one chip in the deal. ( a diode 1cent has a chip inside ,crack one open and look)
so no lie there , but 45hp on a 1.6L , dream, dream.

I do not think anyone has a chip swap for Suzuk's because ours is soldered in. SMD.
and like the honda's (hondata google it) no one has:
1:made and adaptor card to extend the chip , (tricky procedure I can do but...)
2: no one has reversed engineered the AFR or timing maps in these KICKs.
3: no one has cracked the ALDL serial port protocol like hondata.

the other devices, are called Interceptors, Piggy backs.

Almost ALL:
they Lie to the ECU, to trick it.
and or they lie to the inputs and to your injectors directly.(both)
some work others don't.
depends, depends on car , ecu and degree of mods.

THE STOCK ECU will always be a limitation , unless you replace it , in whole.

that's the facts.

dont take my word for it , read the book. He explains how they 1000hp Ethanol Honda
holds the world record, how the did it. Very good read.

Tricks:
lie to IAC sensor. Air temp.
Lie to ECT sensor. coolant temp
Lie to OXY sensor input ot ECU. Oxygen measured is raised forcing rich fuel)
Lie to MAF sensor to ECU. Air flow tweaks. (more air= more fuel injected.)

each has limits and each can cause newer ECU's to trip failsafe.

the older the car the easier it is to lie to the ECU. (no guarentees)

some can be done with a simple resistor voltage divider, others a tiny 10cent 741 operational amplifier (a chip, whipdedoo.)

Doing it on a ford is a Pistol. (frequency modulation tricks, very tricky)

If anyone can prove me wrong, and show any mods that can allow me
to gain access to my stock ecu or for access to prom tables support.
speak up. Been looking for 6 months and its dry.
even on teamswift which has lots of turbo mods.
