Smile Reg Vitara Clutch Cable

Can anybody please help. My neighbours clutch cable on her "V" Reg Vitara went last night. She has no mechanical knowledge. I had a look earlier and found a broken bracket in the footwell. Cable looks fine. Is this just a case of welding bracket back together and putting back on? Or is it best to get whole new thing? If anybody can help i would REALLY appreciate it. Also any pictures or a guide with be great thanks.

Google Southwestern Suzuki and navigate their mechanical parts. Some have illustrations. Good luck
