Default 98 replacement radiator problem

I have to change the radiator for my girlfriend, 98 sidekick convertible. I already bought two but none fit. First one was about 2 inches too high, second one was too wide by 1 inch.
I bought Spectra Premium CU1864 and CU1118.

Any idea?

me too, bought 3 rads, all exactly like yours , and too wide.
I ordered the correct pn but they keep subsituting on me...

finally got my cu1330 , was 1 inch narrower. (spectra)
it fit perfect but rad cap hole is too tiny for any suz. caps
after trying ever stant cap in book found a toyota 95 cap that fit.
if you need stant p/n can give me PM mail, saved the wrapper.

hope this helps you, mine is 2door, and MT (others are for 4d or auto)

You mean a new radiator does not come with a cap? How silly is that?

This must be a common thing. I had the same problem, regarding width, with my 95 tracker, 1.6, 16v, A/T. 4WD. Finally went to a radiator shop to get the right one. Wasn't any more expensive than Murray's/Checker/Kragen. Good luck, Dave

Thumbs up

Tried CU1330, fit like a glove. Too bad it's not aluminum. Was able to reuse the old cap. Thanks JTGH

you are lucking , my orig. cap was HUGE.
I guess they make more than one CU1330.
Keep fresh fluid in that brass beast and it will last forever.

my new queer radiator cu1330 , needed a even queerer , radiator cap.
11241 for a toyota. it works perfect and holds pressure.

I guess they make 2 Cu1330 rads. I was told they are consolidating designs. ,
gawd helps us.
