Talking Auto 2wd to 5 speed 4wd

This is what happens when you get a doner car cheap!! My tracker is a 95 auto 2wd soft top almost a perfect car, to make it a perfect car I'm installing the 5 speed tranny and all the 4wd running gear from an 89. So far I've got the clutch petal installed in mine and the tranny/transfer case, front diff and a-arms pulled from the doner. I gather form the forums that the flywheel to crank interface might be an issue, won't know till I get the auto out of mine. Anybody tried this before? any issues come up? I'll keep the results posted in case anyone else is foolish enough to try this.

Update, pulled the auto this eve, looks good so far. The crank flange is the same and the flywheel bolted right up. Mechanically it should fit just hope the ecm dosen't have a fit. There were several electrical plugs coming off the auto box, anyone know what they are? I'm assuming one is for the reverse light, no clue 'bout the others.

my 4wd/5sp has a AT , ECM, so the ecm just commands up TCC lockup to the sky.
I do not get TCC Check lights, on 91 ECM.

but on newer ECM you might.
I do know a person with a 95 auto ECU that does get those Trouble codes. (bad tranny)

sounds like you will find out. soon.

Got all the new stuff in today, bolted right in. The only thing left is to swap the missing front diff mount off the doner frame and weld it to mine. Had to jumper the start safety switch but other than that it was pretty much a bolt on operation.
Just a few notes that might help someone out. I made my own 1" spring spacers and the 30-9.5x15 Dunlop all terrains fit just fine on the stock steel wheels, compliments of the doner car, I've seen quite a few people asking about "whats the largest tire that will fit" so thought I'd throw that out there.
When I got the car there was a bad oil leak from the back of the head, turned out the o-ring on the dist. was the culpret, like dry spagetti. Easy fix.
Anyone know if the gear ratio in the 95 auto 2wd is the same as the 89 5 speed 4wd? My guess is no.
