I cant say for sure but as far as I know all the G16B (1.6L 16V) engines have the same internals including rods. Why are you replacing rods? If this is for a performance application I would recommend getting forged after market rods as the stock ones are the weak link and can only handle about 220hp or around 12psi of boost.

LOL! I mean, I'm sorry.

You have bigger problems than the piston.

The piston didn't seize, it probably hydraulically locked due to that cylinder having been left open to fill with water. You cranked it around, and since liquids are not compressible, the crank compressed the con-rod instead.

You will have to do a complete tear down and rebuild the motor. Because in addition to the con-rod, you will need to check to see if the crank mashed its main bearings pretzeling the con-rod and to clean out all the debris.

Got any pics of it? Engine grenade aftermath pics are always interesting.
Sorry dude,
james

It probably was running when it sucked in water, I don't think the starter is strong enough to break rods. You will defiantly have to tear down the engine and probably machine the cylinders and check the crank to make sure it's not bent and hopefully it didn't chew up the block to badly.

You would need to get a roller stand and dial micrometer gauges. They aren't cheap.
Probably cheaper/better to just take it to an automotive machine shop to let them do it.
