Question transfer case oil level?

just wondering if any one know how many litres of oil the transfer case on a 1995 v6 escudo takes?

First make sure you buy gear oil not engine oil, drain oil from bottom nut, when fully drained replace. Half way up the t/case you will find another nut (could be a hex nut) remove and fill with gear oil till it overflows from that opening, put hex nut back on. Done. I would buy a 4ltr (or 1 gal) container,
because you can use the same gear oil in your diffs. Filling the diffs is the same as the t/case.

yeah ive got the same problem with the fill plug on my rear diff.. and I found out I had a problem with it after I drained it ( smart, I know ) thinking about welding a nut to it but no experience with welding and a bit worried about the gas tank beeing so close, anyone know the safest way to weld near the tank? Im thinking about removing the tank, but dont know if thats a bit to much for just spot welding 1 bolt
