Default High idle

I am new to the tracker world so I dont know much about them. I bought a 92, 5 speed, 4X4, 8 valve, with about 115,000 miles on it. It runs really good, no smoke, runs smooth, gets about 26-28 mpgs. But when I first start it, it idles high for about 5 mins, over 2000 rpm. It starts right up and runs fine, I just cant figure out why the idle is so high at start up. After about 5 mins or so its down to 800-1000 rpm and idles perfect. Any help would be great, thanks.

Default

set the idle screw on the IAC to 1200 rpm cold.
I set mine hot, because I cant stand the factory setting of 1200
I get mine fully warm and set the this screw 5mm allen key so engine runs the slowest hot and smoothest. Then when cold it isnt crazy fast.

the colder the car is , the faster the idle when cold this is controled by a wax pellet in side the IAC, and we can not change that relationship.
it is a thermo mechanical device, and there is one other device inside the IAC, and that is the device that the ECU uses to control the idle when warm only.
That is the purpose of the 2 wire connection.
