While I'm not trying to support Vista, I run it on my laptop with a USB bluetooth adapter and it works. I also use a USB RS-232 adapter to control my Megasquirt. Vista is a major pain in the ass but it can work.

megasquirt, that's one smart why to learn EMS. I too have read all the docs on this and it is very interesing. ( I am having fun setting it all up)
Only weak area is , Ign timing maps.

Vista key , is to find hardware vista likes,
for blue tooth , make sure person making the HW , suports VISTA.
and (Ive been testing it ) about 1/2 of the XP drivers work.
also if AEVO or whatever ,its called is ON , turn it off and some lap tops speed up.
ones with old graphics 3D chips. I run a dual boot so I can regress easy.
Opposite is true with chip like Nvidia 6200 or higher.
sorry I diverge....

Turning off areo help mine only a little bit but its a piece of shit. Ill probably do a multiple boot eventually. I'm running into a few problems with the Megasquirt it seem that the DRLs don't work without the stock PCM so I might run the Megasquirt in parallel with the stock PCM letting the stock PCM handle the DRLs and relays and what ever other stuff it controls.

I haven't found any downfalls with the spark tables yet and am looking forward to using dual tables with nitrous.

Thanks! The Harrison looks to be quite good. So, with the Palm kit, I can get computer access AND Palm access, but not CAN protocol, since that requires a separate CANScanRS232 converter kit, full price. Frustrating.

Just submitted my money for an Elmscan 5. Will be nice to put that old Palm m515 to use. Then right after paying for it, I find this....
OBDKey. Automotive Scan Tool Products.
sheesh.
