My headlight on buzzer has been dead for quite some time now and as a result I have come back to a dead battery after leaving my lights on.
I have disconnected the warning buzzer from the car and connected 12 volts to the +/- connectors of the OEM buzzer and it still buzzes.
The buzzer has 7 wires going to it. Those 7 wires are in tact and lead to bigger wiring harness.
I have semi-recklessly tried to use a 12v buzzer with a +/- wire I got from radio shack to see if there is some power and I can get the buzzer to buzz when the lights are on and engine off but it does not got off when I turn on the engine.
buzzer tied to tail light line. (off shelf buzzer)
and the other end to IGN. on line.
put a diode (1n4001) in series with line , band of diode towards IGN.
oldest circuit in world,
diode keeps IGN line from powering up Runing lamps when key on.
when you have ign off and HL (or TL) on , the power goes to busser and thru Diode and to various loads of Ign line.
it buzzes. ( buzzer polarity + to Tail lamps.)
I will try to find your schematic next for the existing.
