when the cranckshaft is on tdc and the camshaft pulley is lined to the mark in the valve cover where should the lobes on number 1 cylinder be pointing on a 1.6,16valve engine

easy , valves open . the lifters are not touching the valves.
signifing , begin of combustion (power) stroke.
