Default Swap 1.6L carb engine with 2.0 EFI

Is there anyway that i can put a 2.0L EFI motor out of a vitara in my 1991 vitara that currently has the G16A 1.6L CARB.

If so how hard would it be, and how costly.

If any other what engine should i convert to, to get more power, and that will fit in without too much trouble

I'm looking to get more power out of my 94 Vitara too.
Either by putting a 2.0L engine in it or getting a low pressure turbo kit...
Any idea on prices for the 2L?

na, i havn't looked around yet

the 2L is usually in the 4 door, so i suspect it would go alright in 2door

i might have a look on net, or some wreckers.
If you were putting low pressure turbo would you change pistons and head

You can run about 10psi or less on the stock G16B 16v motor, anymore and the head gasket wont last very long and anything above 18psi your asking for bent rods. The stock pistons create a 9.5:1 compression ratio witch is a little high and aftermarket pistons and rods can be found here Off Center Custom Racing - The Suzuki Performance Specialists ! and www.suzukird.com. www.turbinetech.ca will make a custom equal length header with your flange of choice for about $500CAD and $700 with ceramic coating.
