Quick question for you, did you have any problems after replacing the OE airbox with a new intake element filter? I remember you saying something about extending the sensor and adding a resistor? Any pics and explanation on that? I am trying to figure out what is wrong with my car.
I never had any problems with the aftermarket intake. The after market intake has no provision for the IAC sensor so I just have it sitting next to it. I had tried to add a variable resistor to trick the ECM into thinking the air was cooler than it really was but that experiment didnt last long and was abandoned for bigger and better things.
I see, so then you have never had any problems maybe seeming like you were running lean or rich? I am having a problem, and no matter what I have tried or replaced, it is still occuring.
I'm unfamiliar with your problem but if anything I am to rich. Im not totaly sure why this is but it could have something to do with the IAT sensor being outside of the intake, or it might be becasue I removed the screen in front of the MAF so the air is more turbulent and its getting a inacurate reading. Its not that bad and I still get decent fuel economy.
