Default Can I repair an ECU myself?

I found the guy on Ebay that repairs the ECU (94 Tracker), but I was wondering if I can do it myself and save some money. Are there any tutorials on how to do this? Or am I better off just letting the Ebay guy do it?

unless you know what fails (like the guy Ebay does) its pretty unlikely you can repair it yourself..
