Default '97 Sidekick won't start

I'm pretty new to this forum, but from the looks of things I think you guys can help me.

My '97 Sidekick Sport with an auto trans won't start. Starter and solenoid are fine, but there is no power coming from the small wire going to the solenoid. I can start it by running a wire from the small terminal on the solenoid to the positive battery terminal. I don't think it's the ignition switch because everything else works when I turn it to start (i.e. fuel injectors priming, etc.) It happened suddenly, so I'm thinking either the neutral/start switch on the tranny, or the alarm's starter kill. My wiring diagrams suck, so any help would be appreciated.

Back trace the wire that comes from your S position and see if the B+ is intercepted by your alarm. First step I would do is disable the alarm if possible.

A Blk/Ylw wire is intercepted by the PNP switch. Get out your test light. and check out C1 cavity 2

I would trace the blk yllw all the way to see where the power stops. You could cheat a bit and see if it is coming out of your steering column as well to see if it is getting to the switch.

That's why I picked up the fsm's. I'd feel naked without them.
