97 tracker ac/blower just quit

looking at EPC, i see assembly with 3 cables.

there is a Fan switch cable there.

the resistors are in module bolted on the top front of
the blower cage, the blower also cools the resistors .

I bet the switch is bad and the resistors are good.


It could be a bad motor too. ( chick this first)
see if there is power to the motor or hot wire it.
once side is ground, other side goes to blower switch and to the 4 range resistor bank.

found out it is the switch, had the anti-theft ring off drove it to work on the way home tried the fan then jiggled the switch it worked only on medium speed and the ac worked as well. thanks for the info now to figure out how to get the switch out of the dash, halfe of the problem is solved because the ring is off the other problem is just getting the switch out. so thanks you have helped me out a lot. ps. jtgh your ride looks good.

the switch might have a screw or just snap on type.
close examination should reveal the type.
some switches can be taken apart and the contacts filed , others not.

those antithieft things are a hoot, useless to owner and thief uses crowbar. silly aint it?
