After taking the cable off the tranny, the speedo gear turns when turning the driveshaft by hand. The speedometer needle turns when spinning the cable with a drill. My suspicion is perhaps the speedo gear is stripped or worn enough that it isn't mated enough to turn the cable once it's connected?
Thoughts?
If that's true, does anyone have a source for this gear?
