If its RWD then it dosent have front axle either? Your probably broke the U joint at the differential. You should be able to buy one at any parts store, but depending on how its broke you may need more than just the u joint. Replacing the u joint isnt isnt teriably easy and your best bet would probably be to take to a garage.

Question More info on my car, and what went wrong.. :(

Well I'm new to this site, and this is my first car. To be perfectly honest, I don't know anything about cars. And I'd really like to learn more about it. I know it's RWD.

I was driving to my boyfriends parents house one morning, and my car all of a sudden just rev'd really high, and sounded almost like when you put your car in neutral, and the hit the gas. But it would still go into gear. So, I thought possibly it was the clutch. But that seems to be fine. And it made thins *ba ding* noise, like something broke and flew off. So my dad and my boyfriend's dad looked at it and said that they had no idea what it was, looked it up and found it was called a carrier baring. I have no idea what that is.

So, I guess I'm asking what I'd have to do to get it fixed, and how much. Or, if anyone knows anything about it. Someone told me I might have to get an all new drive shaft. Ugh.. that's a lot of money.
