Dude, we want to help, but we need details, you might be out of gas for all the details you provide.

Sound like the starter is gone or the starter solenoid is bad.
you can "jump" the starter by placing a screw driver between the two posts on the starter and if that runs the starter then its the solenoid if nothing happens when crossing the two poles on the starter then the starter is bad.

I am not a big Suzuki know it all but this works on other cars so I assume it can be done with a Suzuki and if not I am sure someone will correct me.

first do what few do, clean the battery posts and the mating points.
if you see any corrosion it is time for baking soad and flush with water , followed by a full terminal clean up.
helps to buy the real tool that cleans it. ( cheap) Radial wire brush)
about 100 th the cost of paying some one to clean your battery.
assuming that....

yes, it works. Hot wiring.
under car, see starter.
see starter soledoid.

it is round with black plastic insulator.

you will see one huge wire (the battery cable) +12vdc.
do not accidently connect that to ground (body of car or engine)
on the other side see wire going into starter. that is the main power wire for the starter motor. leave it alone.

on the Sol. end see a FASTON quick-disconnect connector, pull this conn.
make sure it is not corroded, if yes clean it .

leave it unplugged. ( some ignitions ground the starter to foil thieves)

(car is handbraked, in Park or Neutral and is chocked)

now using a small screw driver ( I use a store bought start button)
and jump the battery node on this solenoid to the fastON tab.

car will now crank but not start ( your ignition is off , while under car I hope to gosh)

If it cranks then you know know which of the 3 paths the problem lies.

1- battery feed.
2- Ignition key line. (clutch switch bad, ign switch or wiring)
3- solenoid starter subassembly.

now get to work. hehehe

good luck to you.

yuk, wife is dragging me kicking and screaming to Walmat , rats !

see this photo

good battery is a prerequesite.

12.65vdc ( or very close) charge it until you get this value.

this voltage is at rest , on a spring day.

if the car cranks, then the starter , battery are good.
and your key line is INOP.
if it doenst , the starter, battery , cables or solenoid are bad.
tell us your results.

just doing this simple test can save you $200 for a new starter.

Harbor Freight sells remote test switch for $5.
button and two crockadyle clips.
good day
