Default Armrest?

Don't know about anyone else here but it's a bit awkward driving such an upright SUV and not having an armrest. Do any of have one on your sidekick/tracker? Where can I buy one. I looked on ebay, and I searched these forums and found nothing.
I'm thinking of going to the salvage yard and yanking one off a minivan and rigging it on to my seat, but that's kinda redneck I'd rather have the actual right part.

Yeah, what he said +1, I will usually grab onto the handbrake and sort of lean on it.

I'm 6' and although the truck provides plenty of leg and headroom, an armrest would be peachy.

Maybe we could make one of fiberglass and screw it in lieu of the center console?

How about swapping the seat for a minivan seat like off a Venture or other American van?

Check this out International Suzuki Association* - Accent Buckets <-those have no armrests but if they fit, some with an armrest must fit too although they might be too wide so better measure before buying seats...

BTW. glad you got your truck fixed.

Oh yeah she's running like a champ! Well, except the idle still really low, shaky low. I went to the junkyard last night and found tons of seats with armrests but the mounting system for the Sidekick is different than all the others. But, check this out: I've been wanting a roof rack since the day I bought the Sidekick, I found tons of them and the guy said $10.!!!! So far I like the roof rack systems on the grand cherokee and the new Toyota 4runners. They have them both and the racks are like new! I will have to cut/alter the cross bars because the Sidekick is more narrow, but it looks easy enough. I never seen a Suzuki like mine with a factory roof rack.

Mine came from the factory with a roof rack . . .

And I have NEVER EVER seen a Sidekick like mine, it came factory just like in this picture, hard spare tire cover, chrome rims, chrome rocker panels, and the pink and turqoise pin stripe job was all done from the factory.

In case anyone cares, I successfully put a roof rack from a 1996 Chevy Blazer on my Sidekick. Got it at the junkyard for $10.
Had to alter the crossbars by cutting 2 1/2 inches of each end (the blazer is wider) also the metal on a sidekick rook is flimbsy so I had to make a trip to the hardware store and get some brackets and nuts for reinforcements. It looks really good though. I'll post some pics eventually

Sounds cool Jake, I might be joining up into a car club, or possibly creating my own with my homie. Yea my car doesn't look like that right now though, my hood ended up coming up on me on the freeway a few months ago, and a truck ended up backing up into me while I was pulling out of a driveway. Not all that bad, but I would like to get a new hood, pass. side fender and door. I am in the process of creating my own body kit from kits from other cars, and doing a Scion Xb front end conversion and Bi-Xenon HID headlight projectors off of an Infiniti, so a lot is going on, and I currently have the chrome rocker panels the bump guards on the door, and the Sidekick emblem off, and about to take off the pinstriping, as I am going to begin preping it to get stripped, shaved all the way around and repainted.

But hey if I end up getting my new 22" rims, I will probably end up taking off the spare tire cover, as I will be putting a fullsize spare and want to show it off since I will be balling with 22" Dropstars haha. So we can talk later.

My bad for the thread jack.
