I've been searching and reading archived material for weeks and I'm still lost. I'm going to buy an anvil and use a steel 3rd out of a GV. I'm going to be running an ARB airlocker. My confusion starts with what bits and pieces will match up with each other. Can I use the 26 Spine locker (RD88) and use GV axles and re-use my 5.125 ring&pinion set out of the original 3rd so I dont have do any gear hunting?
Now I just read that to use the RD88 in the GV that you need to use the 3rd out of a Vitara/Kick. Now I'm lost. Defeats the whole purpose of the anvil if you need to use an aluminum 3rd. Can someone shed some light on this for me. Thanks.
