Default Need air box for '98 Sidekick 16 valve

Hi all. I am needing an air box for a '98 Sidekick with 1.6 16 valve engine. I have a wrecked one I am fixing and the box is busted.
I have also been looking for an aftermarket air filter kit but can't find one, any ideas? I figured they would be cheap and plentiful but neither is the case. Is it because of the MAF on the 16 valve engine? If anyone has info I would greatly appreciate it.
Also, I have a '93 Tracker I am parting out. If anyone needs anything, let me know. The engine is locked up and I used the left front sheet metal but still many good parts left.
Happy Zuking!

No, It's just starting to warm up so it hasnt been a big deal and now it's motorless and in pieces but when I get it togeather and running I'm going to try to fabricate something out of sheet metal. But once I turbo it I'm thinking that it wont be quite as bad as the intake wont go overtop the engine and will be intercooled to so well see.

Mo, Thanks for the response, mines a 16v and I’m not sure what’s compatible between the two. Sorry.

S, that was my plan as well, fitting to the inner fender well shouldn’t be to bad, what I was scratching my head over was determining how high to make the shield so it blocked the heat but not interfere with closing the hood. Good luck with your turbo project..
