ok check the oil filler cap and water expansion tank for floaty white bits. also run engine and squeeze the top hose. if this is rock hard the is too much pressure in cooling system.

if there are bits and top hose is hard can be one of two things-engine cracked or head gasket gone but i really hope it's not that.

if no bits and can squeeze the top hose next check thermostat.

ok take thermostat out-2 bolts on inlet manifold on mine.

stick it in a saucepan with water and bring the water to the boil. see if the thermostat opens.

if it does it means the cooling system is working.

if it doesn't get a new thermostat and replace.

now bleed the cooling system. the way i do this is fill the water bottle whack the heaters on full blast run the engine and wait for air to come out the expansion tank. water will also so be careful ok!lol

when it stops bubbling turn of engine refill to max and put back on expansion tank cap.

hope this helps.

On the top of this page, click on "search", and search for "overheat". You might get some ideas from some of those posts. Tracka
