Default Brake light blinking

Ihave a 92 Sidekick;the brake light on the dash blinks when running. It seems to be in a sequence;eight blinks, then a slight pause, then 8more blinks. It does this continuosly;stays on normally when the park brak is applied.

not stating obvious but have you checked fluid level or wear indicators?

If your fluid is good then it might be Rear Wheel Anti Lock (RAWL) module or the RAWL sensor.

Top off the brake fluid even if it's above the min mark. My light was on, level was just under the max. Topped off and light went off and has stayed off. If that doesn't work search the posts, there is a post about the rawl moduel and sensor.
