I got mine from the Chev dealer for about 30.00, take a good look at the slot in the crankshaft when you get it apart. Also, do you know about "interference type engines? Don't turn the crankshaft independent from turning the cam shaft or you can wreck your engine. Tracka

That sounds good. Not a bad price. Yes I know about interference engines and I know this one is one of those engines. I'm gonna take it apart this weekend.

If you haven't seen this "How-To" yet, it will help...

Thank somebody (?) for taking the time to compile....

NO NO NO NO, that site has nice pictures, but you don't have to do hardly any of that bad stuff. Re the power steering pump, I never done anything with it other than remove the AC/Power steering belt. No need at all to jack up the engine. Never used an air wrench on anything. You may get some ideas from reading the site and seeing the pictures, but don 't be paniced by it. Tracka

Tracka's right. It's not that complicated. Did it on my 94. took longer to remove the radiator and fan then to do the rest!

I wouldn't even pull the radiator unless you're planning on removing the timing belt drive pulley from the crankshaft. (the 17MM bolt) Tracka

hey Sidekick101 here's a pic of the parts I pulled off this morning. Call me tonight if they match and I will meet you Sunday morning. They're yours for $20 if you need them.

No I am not doing all that stuff tracka. It took me 45min to take everything apart. I took the radiator out this time so I would have more space. I got everything apart and you guys were right. It seems to be the keyway. I can move the drive pulley an inch by hand without the crand even moving. That indeed is not normal.

I have another question. What's the best way to move the bolt so I can remove the drive gear and other parts. The book says not to move the crank in a counter clockwise motion. I can't get my impact gun in there unless I remove the condenser and i'm not doing that. I'm probably gonna need some tool to hold the shaft.
